1927 PORTUGUESE RECEIVING AUTHORITY ARCHIVE SPECIMENS: London 2d, 3d, 1/-, 2/6, 5/- & 10/- (SG 34-39 excl 35b). The six values each in both English & Afrikaans language singles, each handstamped "SPECIMEN" in the usual manner of UPU distribution. Affixed together on portion of Archive folio sheet, one of 1/-'s separately affixed. A very rare surviving group thus proving distribution of the set as UPU specimens and illustrating practical archiving of the bilingual specimens by a receiving authority. Minor imperfections, overall of sound appearance. These emanate from a Portuguese Colonial receiving authority in India (probably Portuguese Goa). The specimens (received through the UPU) for distribution to the overseas Portuguese colonies.
