Endorsed (under Air etiquette) "By S.A. Air Mail from Cape Town". This service was advertised in the UK and mail sent out on the RMS Saxon to connect with this first flight. When moored in the harbour, about 200 items were posted on board with Paquebot arrangement and transferred to Cape Town post office, sorted & placed on the first flight.
