Very scarce mail from NATAL via the Cape likely from Durban to Cape by favour or on chartered vessel. Packet Letter 1s2d rate of 1872 for all of Germany. This letter forwarded "Per steamer - Asiatic" shows crayon rating & manuscript departure "Durban 21 Juin" & arrival "23 Juli". Minor imperfections, opened for display. Attractive, scarce.
