1851 Attractive folded blue entire letter from "Port Elizabeth, 21st November 1851" to London and thence redirected to Worcester. Endorsed "Prepaid, via Cape Town" Rating marks "Paid 8", "2/-" being the 4d inland letter rate + 4d overseas letter rate (of 1846) entered at Cape Town and the 2/- (for 1½oz rate of 1840) charged at London including the redirection. Wonderful strike at bottom left of the Cape Town Crowned GPO Undated Letter Stamp. VF, scarce this fine.
