1840 CAPE TOWN to SWELLENDAM: Wonderful small format folded wrapper addressed "On Service" to the "Reformed Church" bearing facsimile signature of "John Bell / Sec. to Govt" and the written signature of "A Faure", both additions to the wrapper authenticating the free postage. With excellent strike of the SECOND OFFICIAL FREE HANDSTAMP (O2) dated JU 18 1840 perfectly placed in the top left corner. VF, scarce this fine.
