Schweizer Reneke transit and Wolmaransstad arrival marks on reverse. A desirable commercial use letter from the Leask correspondence. Minor imperfections, scarce piece. On the 21st October 1899 a Boer force of 1200 men under Gen Koos de la Rey occupied the town. On the 9th May 1900 the British forces recaptured Vryburg.
