1910 DIE PROOF of KEVII ½d POSTAGE REVENUE, SECOND PLATE (SG 127) complete design (a monocolour value) in black
on glazed card dated 19 FEB 10 marked AFTER STRIKING.
VF, a particularly rare state of the die.
Most likely the second plate of the ½d and part of the printing of 3600000 ½d's ordered under Requisition 96/09 of 21st Descember 1909.
An exceedingly rare proof, the sole such known to us, possibly unique.
Typically only a single such impression was taken for checking of the master die roller at each of the after hardening, before striking and after striking production stages.
