1857 1/- buff, embossed (SG 7). A fully-sized example tied to large part entire addressed to Hamburg. Stamp tied by Pietermaritzburg oval in black. Exceptional embossing with value standing very clear. Arrival mark on reverse. An exceedingly rare stamp in any representation, only 11 complete covers with 1/- frankings recorded.
