Ceylon 1923 KGV Local Presentation Specimens, Rare

1923-24 KGV 1r, 2r, 5r & 20r (SG 354-57, the 1r Die I, others Die II). The group of four Rupee values bearing SPECIMEN overprint (local type, Samuel CE7, in red on 5r, black on others) at top. F/M, the 5r with corner fault. Samuel suggests these were prepared for presentation purposes, probably for the Royal Empire Society. An exceedingly rare group thus.
