With a formal education in banking and business interests as diverse as owning an hotel in Namibia, Ingomar is very much an International philatelist keenly attuned to market trends. Between 2006-2012 President of the International Federation of Stamp Dealers Associations (IFSDA) he is encountered frequently at public speaking engagements. He has membership in the Swiss Stamp Dealers Association (SBHV). In 2007 he was recognised by the Netherlands SDA as Honorary member.

Richard has special expertise in British Africa and Cape of Good Hope as well as Commonwealth Proofs & Specimens. An exhibitor of Cape of Good Hope (various collections) to Large Gold level and an active Nationally accredited Philatelic Judge, invited to sign the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists of Southern Africa in 2004. A past President of the South African Philatelic Dealers Association (SAPDA) and since 2007 a Board member of the International Federation of Stamp Dealers Associations, Zurich (IFSDA), President of IFSDA 2012-18. Additionally he has membership in the Swiss Stamp Dealers Association (SBHV), American Philatelic Society (APS), Australasian Philatelic Traders' Association (APTA) and the Philatelic Traders Society, UK (PTS).
