1910 REPLY HALF OVERPRINTED DUE TO STATIONERY SHORTAGE of the KEVII ½d + ½d reply paid postcard with the printed "REPLY" cancelled by overprinting eight horizontal black lines. Higgins & Gage record the severance, overprinting & selling of the two halves as singles of this reply paid card in 1909. This action by the post office was the solution to a shortage of stationery at the time. Catalogued as No15a, unpriced.
