SA: 1911 First Aerial Post souvenir card: SECOND flight Kenilworth to Muizenberg with interprovincial franking of Transvaal KEVII ½d, Claremont cds. Shows variety KENILWORTH CACHET DATED "27 DEC 11" (date of first flight, the Kenilworth postmaster had failed to change the date in the special canceller following the first flight). Due to poor weather this flight only took place late on 2nd January; thus Muizenberg cds on front of 3 JAN 12 is correct; the Muizenberg cachet of DEC 30 11 is also incorrect date. Card addressed to Claremont, with arrival cds JA 4 12. F-VF, scarce error affecting part of the only 1479 cards carried.
