1926 PORTUGUESE RECEIVING AUTHORITY ARCHIVE SPECIMENS: London ½d Springbuck & 1d Ship (SG 30&31). The two values each bearing handstamped "COLONIAS" in blue and affixed on pieces from the Archive folio sheets. A very rare surviving pair thus, quite likely unique. These emanate from a Portuguese Colonial receiving authority in India (probably Portuguese Goa). The handstamped defacement was applied in Lisbon prior to distribution of the specimens (received through the UPU) to the overseas Portuguese colonies.
