1936 SCHLESINGER AIR RACE: Cover carried by ROSE & BAGSHAW (who crashed at Cairo) with vibrant strike of official race cachet. Franked with GB adhesives prior to race start. This cover one of those few mailed back to UK from Cairo, bears further Egyptian franking. These pilots only carried 75 pieces of mail, of which 25 were signed, a few of these were posted back from Cairo. SIGNED ON REVERSE BY BOTH ROSE & BAGSHAW. VF, scarce. See additional image.
