SA: 1911 First Aerial Post souvenir card: SECOND flight Kenilworth to Muizenberg franked Cape Hope Standing 3d tied VARIETY KENILWORTH CACHET DATED "27 DEC 11" (date of first flight, the Kenilworth postmaster had failed to change the date in the special canceller following the first flight). Due to poor weather this flight only took place late on 2nd January; thus Muizenberg cds on front of 3 JAN 12 is correct; the Muizenberg special flight cachet of DEC 30 11 is also incorrect date. Card addressed to Observatory, Cape with arrival cds JA 4 12. VF, scarce error.
