1915 SA KGV 1d on piece superbly tied by KUIBIS German rubber canceller from which the German eagle and the upper lettering has been cut away, struck in violet and to which has been added the ONE LINE DATE STAMP 28 DEC 1915. This date is six months earlier than the date recorded by Putzel (published 1991). VF, fresh & rare.
In recording this canceller, Putzel advises "It first appeared in June 1916 in violet... ALSO WITH ADDITIONAL ONE LINE DATE STAMP. The latter is considered by Busch to be very rare."
