The envelope with the writers details on the reverse, bears an initialled CENSOR LABEL, the despatch cds and in violet, the double circle WALVIS BAY DETACHMENT / SEAWARD DEFENCE FORCE / 9-6-1941 cachet. Interesting, F-VF. Enclosed is a letter which does not belong to the envelope. It is nevertheless interesting because the letter shows three further military handstamps, all in violet DIRECTOR S.A. ARMY POSTAL SERVICES/DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS/28.11.1944, Maj. D.A.D. Army Postal Services U.D.F., M.E.F. and DIRECTOR, S.A. ARMY POSTAL SERVICE.
