Attractive, scarce. Carried on the Edinburgh Castle (Donald Currie Line) which sailed from Cape Town on 17th December 1878, arriving Plymouth 9th January 1879. The comparative regular non-concessionary rate for Ship or Packet Letters in this period 1876-1881 was 6d per ½oz.
