c1824 KOWIE to Cape Town: Lovely small format wrapper bearing at upper right a superb strike of the notoriously elusive KOWIE crown-in-circle. Endorsed "On Service" and addressed to the Post Master General. Superb, very scarce.
The Kowie crown-in-circle handstamp was little used as the anticipated Port did not develop.
