SWAZILAND: 1901 Officers letter to his wife in England from Lieut. Wood with the 18ᵗʰ Hussars Regiment, the Regiment entering Swaziland 5ᵗʰ March 1901 for a campaign period of only 36 DAYS. Wonderful campaign letter, abused and battered and although the writer's initials remain evident lower left, all Wood's usual manuscript notations on his correspondence are removed or taped over. The cover shows FPO 13 cds MR10 with front and back London cds AP5 & VR FOUND OPEN AND OFFICIALLY SEALED tape tied by many strikes of London-W cds AP6. Interesting, unusual.
