1930-45 1d Ship, inverted watermark, CENTRE VIGNETTE OMITTED (SG 43cwa, Issue 9). Exceptional UM/M block of six, the top two pairs with vignettes wholly omitted, the bottom pair with vignettes half omitted. Previously lightly mounted on lower pairs only, the top pair UM. Spectacular variety, particularly so in multiple with partially affected examples illustrating the interruption of the printing run. Barest suggestion light tone spot and gum wrinkle mentioned for the truly picky (!), see scans for reassurance as to minor nature. Rare, magnificent. (pro-rata cv£4500).
