1898 "CORK" POSTMARK: Envelope to London franked QV 2½d cancelled fine strike apparent CORK cancel (likely the crown in circle type illustrated by HKL). GPO Natal (21 JA) cds on reverse as also arrival FE 14 98. Superb, a rare use. Our research records the use at this time of the cork canceller at the BOOM STREET post office, a sub-office of Pietermaritzburg.
